Our Story

100,000 Épices was founded in Marrakech in 1992, at a time when the medina's spice trade was still entirely artisanal. Our founder, a third-generation spice merchant, opened the shop in the heart of the souk with one principle: that spice quality begins at the source. Thirty years later, that principle has not changed.

Where We Come From

The shop is located in the historic medina of Marrakech, a short walk from Djemaa el-Fna. We have operated from the same location for over three decades. Everything we sell passes through Marrakech — sourced from farmers and cooperatives across Morocco, prepared and packaged in our shop, and sent directly to customers around the world.

What We Believe

Most spices sold online are months old by the time they reach you. They have travelled through intermediaries, sat in warehouses, and been diluted or blended with lower-grade ingredients. We work differently. We source directly from the producers — saffron growers in Taliouine, argan cooperatives in the Souss, herb farmers in the Atlas mountains — and we prepare everything fresh in our shop. We do not use fillers or artificial preservatives. What you receive is the same quality we sell to Moroccan households and Marrakech restaurants.

Our Products

We sell over 200 products: single-origin spices, traditional blends like ras el hanout and chermoula, medicinal plants, herbal teas, natural body care products including argan oil and black soap, and curated gift sets. Every product has been selected and tested by our team. If we would not use it ourselves, we do not sell it.

Shipping Worldwide

We ship from Marrakech to customers in France, the United Kingdom, North America, and across Europe and the Middle East. Our packaging is designed to protect both the product and its fragrance during shipping. Most orders leave the shop within 24 hours.
